Waivers
Adding Minors / Children
Understand what happens when a waiver allows guardian signing for a minor participant, including how the signing flow and records differ.
Waivers can be configured to allow a signer to choose between signing for themselves or signing as a guardian for a minor participant.
Where this is controlled
Open the waiver editor and use Allow minor participants.
When enabled, the public signing form shows:
- Myself
- A minor / child
Templates that default to minors
These built-in templates currently default to minors enabled:
- Camps and Youth Sports
- School Trips and Events
You can still change the setting in the editor before publishing.
What changes for the signer
When the signer chooses guardian mode:
- the form collects guardian information
- the form adds one or more minor / child entries
- each child needs a first name and date of birth
- the waiver body still appears above the form as usual
