Signature Packets and Records
How the PDF Is Generated
Understand why a packet may show processing first and what happens before the PDF becomes downloadable.
The PDF is generated after the signer submits the waiver, not before.
What happens after submit
Once the packet is created:
- WaiverChaser stores the submitted packet
- an artifact job is queued
- the background processor renders the waiver content and supporting artifacts
- the signed PDF becomes available for download and receipt delivery
Why you may see Processing
The signatures list and packet detail page can briefly show a processing state while artifact generation finishes.
This is normal when:
- the packet was just created
- the PDF is still being rendered
- the signer receipt email is still waiting on the final attachment
