Signing Experience
Signing for Yourself
Understand the adult signer flow when the participant and signer are the same person, including what fields are required and what happens after.
The default signer flow is the self-sign flow. This is the path used when the waiver is for the person completing it.
What the signer does
- opens the link or scans the QR code
- reviews the waiver body
- checks any required acknowledgements
- enters participant information
- draws the signature
- submits the form
Common required fields
The public flow centers on a standard set of identity fields, including first name, last name, date of birth, and email.
Depending on the waiver content, the signer may also see emphasis on phone or emergency contact details.
What happens after submit
If validation passes:
- the signature packet is stored
- artifact generation starts in the background
- the signer is sent to the receipt page
What happens next
- Review field validation in Required Fields and Acknowledgements
- Learn about receipt follow-up in Receipts and Confirmation Emails
